Portrait

I am Dilda Ramazan, a curator and art critic. I was born in Karaganda and currently live in Paris, where I am pursuing a PhD at Sorbonne University. My research focuses on contemporary art scenes in Qazaqstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan in the post-independence period (after 1991), which I approach from both interconnected and comparative perspectives.

As an art worker, I am particularly interested in how art worlds emerge in contexts where, at first glance, the necessary conditions for their existence and development seem absent.

This website brings together selected projects and activities I am engaged in, including curatorial work, writing, and both artistic and scholarly collaborations. For further inquiries, you can contact me at [email protected]
